Dear Pioneers and Pioneers at heart,

An-yŏng-ha-se-yo, hello!  At KAPC we are reaching out to you with our newsletter, as we pray you and your loved ones continue to stay safe from the coronavirus.

The Korean American Pioneer Council is a non-profit corporation formed for the purpose of preserving the legacy, record, and promoting the education, understanding and appreciation of the experience and history of the Pioneer Generation of the Korean American community. The organization recognizes the Korean Heritage Library of the University of Southern California as one of the primary repository for the organized record of the Pioneer generation.

As you might guess with the current challenges of social gathering, we decided to cancel plans for this year’s 2021 gathering over the summer. As much as we look forward to the opportunity to visit in person with each of you and to share with you the many stories of what has been going on in the Pioneer Korean American Community, sadly this is still not advised right now.   With that said, we are focused on what we can do, that is sharing our gift of this first KAPC news letter with you.  Please enjoy and  – Thank you for these few moments of your time today.

In closing, to our family and friends around the world please stay awesome, healthy, upbeat, kind to our neighbors, pets included, and we will get together in the future when its safe for all so we can greet and welcome each other with open arms.

Much love.

Thank you/Respectfully,
Alex S. Chang, MBA
President and Chair, KAPC
